Sina Mohsenian is a research fellow at Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA. He was educated in Physics (2005-2010) at the University of Mazandaran, Babolsar, Iran, during his undergraduate program. He received his Master degree in Plasma Engineering (2010-2012) at Laser and Plasma Institute of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), Tehran, Iran. After graduating from Master degree, he continued working at SBU as a scientific researcher. During his career at SBU, he performed some research projects in environmental application of thermal plasma sources such as designing two kind of thermal DC plasma torch (twin and single) and their equipment in solid waste treatment and experimental investigation of gas and nano-structured byproducts (hydrogen rich gas and carbon nano-structures). He is currently working at Umass Lowell during his doctoral program on solar radiation and atmospheric NLTE plasma sources such as microwave and gliding arc discharge and their applications in converting abundant low value feedstock, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and water to fuels, chemicals and advanced nano-structures.
Thermal and non-thermal plasma processing, Plasma simulation, Solar chemical processing, Advanced nano-structures synthesis.
